We uphold our principles as they guide us in building protocols and setting up systems in place. Bon is an action-oriented entity where decisions are made by our protocols and systems rather than individuals. For doing this effectively, we have guiding principles and working principles.
Guiding principles are those non-negotiable values which form bon. These are accepted from the doctrines of permaculture, Amish community, Vedas and Samhitas. These are:
Earth care- Whatever exists on the Earth is a gift from nature and it is the responsibility of humans to take care of it.
People care- Community is primary and individual is secondary- लोका: समस्ता: सुखिनो भवन्तु|
Fair share- Whatever is taken from nature and community is given back in the best way possible.
The ultimate bliss on the planet comes not from worldly/materialistic means but rather in the state of Samadhi- लोकानन्दः समाधिसुखम्|
Acceptance, forgiveness, unconditional love, gratitude and selfless service is the essence of human life.
